The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. I never allow myself to become discouraged under any circumstances. The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are first, hard work, second, stick-to-ittiveness, third, common sense. The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education. The real difficulty, the difficulty which has baffled the sages of all times, is rather this: how can we make our teaching so potent in the motional life of man, that its influence should withstand the pressure of the elemental psychic forces in the indi vidual? The real problem is in the hearts and minds of men. It is easier to denature plutonium than to denature the evil spirit of man. You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war. The only real valuable thing is intuition. Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth. |
