I just told you my dreams and you made me see that I could walk into the sun and I could still be me and now I can't deny nothing lasts forever. The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations. If a child lives with approval, he learns to live with himself. A new idea is delicate. It can be killed by a sneer or a yawn; it can be stabbed to death by a joke or worried to death by a frown on the right person's brow. The saddest failures in life are those that come from not putting forth the power and will to succeed. A memory is what is left when something happens and does not completely unhappen. Words were never invented to fully explain the peaceful aura that surrounds us when we are in communion with minds of the same thoughts. The art of life is to show your hand. There is no diplomacy like candor. You may lose by it now and then, but it will be a loss well gained if you do. Nothing is so boring as having to keep up a deception. The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything. Weather is a great bluffer. I guess the same is true of our human society -- things can look dark, then a break shows in the clouds, and all is changed. |
