I have learned, in whatever state I am ,therewith to be content. Like any other gift, the gift of grace can be yours only if you'll reach out and take it. Maybe being able to reach out and take it is a gift too. The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas. Your paradigm is so intrinsic to your mental process that you are hardly aware of its existence, until you try to communicate with someone with a different paradigm. Where facts are few, experts are many. Today the real test of power is not capacity to make war but the capacity to prevent it. There is nobody so irritating as somebody with less intelligence and more sense than we have. What we imagine is order is merely the prevailing form of chaos. For the skeptic there remains only one consolation: if there should be such a thing as superhuman law it is administered with subhuman inefficiency. We compound our suffering by victimizing each other. |
