It's lack of love we die from. The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been. Inspiration usually comes during work, rather than before it. I like the fact that in ancient Chinese art the great painters always included a deliberate flaw in their work: human creation is never perfect. To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others. It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success nor more dangerous to manage than the creation of a new system.
