The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. (Proverbs 10:28) The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death (Proverbs 13:14). The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel (Joel 3:16). The Lord giveth and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. (Job 1:21) The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. (Psalms 6:9) The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29) The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Nahum 1:7) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid (Psalms 27:1)? The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
