When thou hast gotten a fruitful possession through all the field, sow it with thine own seed, trusting in the goodness of thy stock. We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers. (1 Thessalonians 1:2) Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away (James 4:14). Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith (Matthew 6:30). Who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor with the Lord. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared. (Hebrews 5:7) Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies (Psalms 103:4). Who so regardeth dreams is like him that catcheth at a shadow, and followeth after the wind. [Ecclesiasticus 34:2] Whoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. |
