There are various sorts of curiosity; one is from interest, which makes us desire to know that which may be useful to us; and the other, from pride which comes from the wish to know what others are ignorant of. We seldom attribute common sense except to those who agree with us. Folks that blurt out just what they think wouldn't be so bad if they thought. The fellow that agrees with everything you say is either a fool or he is getting ready to skin you. Lots of folks confuse bad management with destiny. When we are in love we often doubt that which we most believe. True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about and few have seen. There is no disguise which can hide love for long where it exists, or simulate it where it does not. Everyone complains of his lack of memory, but nobody of his want of judgment. Don't knock the weather; nine-tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation if it didn't change once in a while. |
