The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes. If you foolishly ignore beauty, you will soon find yourself without it. Your life will be impoverished. But if you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life. Respect the masterpiece. It is true reverence to man. There is no quality so great, none so much needed now. I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and a devotion to things you want to see happen. The truth is more important than the facts. Noble life demands a noble architecture for noble uses of noble men. Lack of culture means what it has always meant: ignoble civilization and therefore imminent downfall. An idea is salvation by imagination. A doctor can bury his mistakes but an architect can only advise his client to plant vines. |
