Nothing is worth more than this day. When we treat man as he is, we make him worse than he is; when we treat him as if he already were what he potentially could be, we make him what he should be. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Only learn to seize good fortune, for good fortune is always here. What does not kill me makes me stronger. Still this planet's soil for noble deeds grants scope abounding. Everybody wants to be somebody; nobody wants to grow. There is nothing in which people more betray their character than in what they laugh at. All truly wise thoughts have been thought already thousands of times; but to make them truly ours, we must think them over again honestly, till they take root in our personal experience.
