No one truth is rightly held till it is clearly conceived and stated, and no single truth is adequately comprehended till it is viewed in harmonious relations to all the other truths of the system of which Christ is the centre. He is wise who knows the sources of knowledge - who knows who has written and where it is to be found. It is easier to find a score of men wise enough to discover the truth than to find one intrepid enough, in the face of opposition, to stand up for it A church has no right to make anything a condition of membership which Christ has not made a condition of salvation. |
