There are no guarantees. From the viewpoint of fear, none are strong enough. From the viewpoint of love, none are necessary. Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind. Only amateurs say that they write for their own amusement. Writing is not an amusing occupation. It is a combination of ditch-digging, mountain-climbing, treadmill and childbirth... But amusing? Never. The greatest failure is a person who never admits that he can be a failure. Good writers define reality; bad ones merely restate it. A good writer turns fact into truth; a bad writer will, more often than not, accomplish the opposite. Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation. Traditions are the guideposts driven deep in our subconscious minds. The most powerful ones are those we can't even describe, aren't even aware of. No life is so hard that you can't make it easier by the way you take it. It is easy enough to be pleasant, When life flows by like a song, But the man worth while is the one who can smile, When everything goes dead wrong. For the test of the heart is troubled, And it always comes with the years. And the smiles that is worth the praises of earth Is the smile that shines through tears.
