We perceive when love begins and when it declines by our embarrassment when alone together. At the beginning and at the end of love, the two lovers are embarrassed to find themselves alone. Hope is not a dream but a way of making dreams become reality. There may be those on earth who dress better or eat better, but those who enjoy the peace of God sleep better. One stumble is enough to deface the character of an honorable life. A competitive world offers two possibilities. You can lose. Or, if you want to win, you can change. Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter could be said to remedy anything. Worry a little every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple of years. If something is wrong, fix it if you can. But train yourself not to worry. Worry never fixes anything. The richest love is that which submits to the arbitration of time. You can swim all day in the Sea of Knowledge and still come out completely dry. Most people do. |
