For the sake of Zion I will not be silent, for the sake of Jerusalem I will not be still. (2 Samuel 7:27) For thy power standeth not in multitude nor thy might in strong men: for thou art a God of the afflicted, an helper of the oppressed, an upholder of the weak, a protector of the forlorn, a saviour of them that are without hope. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:6). For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul (Job 27:8)? For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD (Proverbs 8:35). For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it (Mark 8:35). For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. (1 Timothy 4:5) Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. (1 Corinthians 7:5) Always, in every prayer of mine for you, all making request with joy. (Philippians 1:4) |
